G

The Cable Guy

 He arrives in khaki shorts

and a mesh muscle-shirt.

Emma’s eyes are aging,

still, she notes

the Byzantine

      calligraphy

on his burly neck,

his beefy arms and calves.

She contemplates –

A woman of a certain age

should never ask,

would never be allowed

to admire the entire

     work of art.

So glad you enjoyed this. Emma is my "inner old woman" and I let her speak for me. Thanks for your encouraging words! Gerry Beyond agree and disagree there is a field. I will meet you there. Rumi
