Leaves Farewell

Red and Gold shine in
the noon day sun
blazingLeaves hold fast
a gentle breeze
Upsets their ease As break awayone by oneThey do. Now set freeThey danceIn a trance The seem to stopAs I watch - theywave farewell Gracefully they floatFrom the sky aboveTwisting and turning To their fate full end
Create a patchwork
quilt far below A Red and gold carpetso deep as far as theEye can see Trees undressed tremble
as their heavenly shawl
of summer has fallen To the ground belowNow lay at their feetAs winter - we greet

Leaves Farewell

Jayne Haunting yes in a way it is. It is magical each journey a single leaf takes when it is broken free from the tree. always Electric Blue

Leaves Farewell

Jayne Mistress of Nature WoW I love this title leads my mind wandering already i am floating though the forest being at one with the standing people I do hope you are able to wander through the woods and find the serenity there i love walking the woods alone there is nothing to compare of being one with the elements If you cannot go out then i hope you have a large window to sit at with your coffe and cigarette and let your mind wander and dream dreams always Electric Blue

Leaves Farewell

Lyz Well my dear friend if you cannot go out. Then walk with me step through your window and i will take you to the the paradise i see. You will hear the magic band play. See through my eyes as each rain drop falls echoing the melody. So see hear and feel the gentle breeze whisper secrets untold. Feel the branches reach out and keep you safe in their embrace. Walk the golden forest floor its carpet of Red and Gold barefoot beneath your feet to walk in all weathers Umm this wonderful patchwork quilt of nature we greet. always Blue

Dear Mistress of Nature, Maggie,

You sent me to read this poem and I am very, so glad you did. It is lovely. The leaves, the colors, their peaceful way to the ground, the whole look of autumn always attracts me in these ways. You have done a beautiful tribute to the leaves, autumn, and nature. Thank you. 'Trees undressed tremble as their heavenly shawl of summer has fallen' beautiful lines The trees tremble, and well they should in my neck of the woods. I can't say I greeted winter this year---but is here, nonetheless. I am curious about the purpose behind your random use of Caps. Yours, Deelilah

Leaves Farewell

Dee I am glad you liked my poem. I love to paint pictures with my words. But on your travels in you truck you must see as i do all these wonderful changes when all is still except you and me. Most people asleep when we are up they miss the magic of the early morn and the late night I call it Twixt Twilight and dawn. As for the caps sometimes my computer has a menapausal hicup and all first lines end up capital letters. Always my dear friend maggie
