Progeny
morning draws
it's first breath
as sunshine breaks
over Earth's edge
where distant hills
embrace the sky
late Autumn
lays down
beneath boughs
spread out
in welcome
a warming blanket
sheltering seedlings
in nourishing slumber
incubating rebirth
renewal
come April rain
