Tragicomic advice
The organ has stopped playing,
in the eternal forests
listen
The drums and cymbals
are marching in,
a cacophony of sounds
fit to make us dance
and sing and shout hurrah.
And yet beneath the jangle
there is a note of pain
the contrast yet again
the tragicomedy
of life's reign.
You have hidden
wings of humour
to use in all emergencies;
you are able to fly
defy the storms of life,
and triumph over adversity
with just one flap
there are no bounds,
no barriers
that cannot be vanquished.
Humour conquers all
we laugh
we indulge in the ridiculous
and grow wiser in our folly.
