Tragicomic advice

The organ has stopped playing,

in the eternal forests

listen

The drums and cymbals

are marching in,

a cacophony of sounds

fit to make us dance

and sing and shout hurrah.

And yet beneath the jangle

there is a note of pain

the contrast yet again

the tragicomedy

of life's reign.

You have hidden

wings of humour

to use in all emergencies;

you are able to fly

defy the storms of life,

and triumph over adversity

with just one flap

there are no bounds,

no barriers

that cannot be vanquished.

Humour conquers all

we laugh

we indulge in the ridiculous

and grow wiser in our folly.

Tragicomic Advice...

Laughter is a good medicine, and wings of comedy can help you flee from life's tragic circumstance. It is best enjoyed with others and the effects are compounded when shared by all. ~ Gee

Dear Margaret Ann,

This poem is a violin pulling its stings though the readers body, slicing ventricles and the aorta with the saw teeth of eighth notes. You have done well here, Margaret Ann. Brian

Dear Sister, I am so glad I

Dear Sister, I am so glad I went back over pages I missed. This is a wonderful poem, full of the wonder of laughter, the gift of Gods and the music of cherubs. The last stanza especially plucks the right strings. ~A "...when it agrees with reason and it will benefit one and all, then accept it and live by it." ~ Buddha
