Rolling Moon

"Rolling Moon across the sky"

And the moon rolled up across the pitch of the sky

a football kicked towards its goal

the horizon over there

but when it gets there

isn't there

the goal keeps moving on

the moon keeps rolling on

what goal there is we know not of

we live this life of ours

we shine

and strive to better things

our individual goals to gain

and yet we reach

so high

in height but only measured short

what is this life for,

nought?

While living yes we fought

for freedom

what freedom was that?

and why

we do not know

we live our span and die

as when the sun melts snow

that white light in our hearts,

the hottest colour in the universe

burns holes and holes within our essences

to win

and they flow out

around our globe

and getting cold

then getting old

we fold our wings

and think of other things

just ponder on the whys and where fore's

till the beating sighs diminish

and we wilt

and not,

sadly

without guilt

It is a most strange and wonderful

trip

this life we live

extraordinary

painful, joyful,

sad

and yet we're glad we had it

glad we made it all the way

to now

and HOW!

I love when that happens,

I love when that happens, don't you? I'm in my element then. So we're playing bowling for moonlight? (There's a game here called bowling for dollars.) Hugs of love dear Sister, Anna again! i wait for the screen to change, and forget to return! "...when it agrees with reason and it will benefit one and all, then accept it and live by it." ~ Buddha

Of course it would be you writing of the moon's journey, I do so know that sense of the moon surely would touch down, of course it doesn't, optical illusions are a delight though. Once I drove about 4 hours (to a divine place called Wilson's Promontory on our coast here) with a HUGE moon leading me all the way as if beckoning & pulling at me... I so fell in love with it again & again & gigled when it came back in centre windscreen as the road twisted & turned - When I arrived at a singing leaders gathering weekend there was a delightful chorus of harmony from the hall & the moon blooming as if it had a big proud grin like mine from the secret shared journey we shared, hanging there above the roof, honouring the work of these great people inside... I could have burst with the joy of the moment, there were many that weekend. Lovely Anushka, this is a wonderful exploration of how the moon tugs at us & plays with our senses, I enjoyed it hugely. Lots of love dear one, & thank you for your notes too xxx Cheers Anni~ "When we feel love and kindness toward others, it not only makes others feel loved and cared for, but it helps us also to develop inner happiness and peace". Dear Ann

A light write that has given me a smile. I enjoyed the fun, and the descriptiveness as well. Lovely Ann. Lyz. XX

Roll On Moon...

And the moon rolls on... Well done O'Queen. I thought I saw the moon over there, but when I got there, it wasn't there, but over there! I think! I don't know where it was exactly but, it is here now and I'm glad it's stopped rolling around! I was getting a little loony! Nice funny write, thank you. ~ Sir Gee
