Blood on the Glass

step into the soul
of the needy and the vain,
and walk within the fire
watch the weak stand tall again

from the pit of redemption
crawling over glass,
mistakes will revisit
but with faith it all shall pass

with a prayer and a smile
before a future deeds,
that karma can turn round
and soul will be released

far into mother earth
I've secreted my pain,
now I'm blowing on the wind
hear me whispering your name

brushing past a memory
that shatter crystal hearts,
cradled in a culture
that's growing like its art

nourishing the earth
as the circle turns around,
even as I lay here
at peace in sacred ground

as I morph back to mother
regather me once again,
make our lines connect
in the ink it will begin

Esperanza is my name
I flow within the green,
open up your minds
bring life to every dream

Love it dear girl. It’s

Love it dear girl. It's so you. Keep on singing the eternal song. (My mom often talked about Esperanto being the official language of the heart.) A suggestion: at peace within *holy* ground, cause all ground is holy when we make peace. Mom p.s. Reread for further effect, when not tired; small changes to be made may or may not may be noticed. Yes. It's always about hope. And so is having a universal language. I suppose poetry will more than suffice. Smile. Love, Mom p.s. Did I mention the editing? Oh, the editing! "...when it agrees with reason and it will benefit one and all, then accept it and live by it." ~ Buddha

I think when I was reseaching esperanza I may have read it ... and so happy you liked the edit I wasnt happy with the last line and that sacred ground line has much better flow now thank you (huggles) and love Jayne

changes

Jayne, for an insomniac this isn't bad at all! how 'bout Dylanesque "blowing IN the wind", or not as the case may be. I really liked the piece, which took a big stick and stirred my emotions and thoughts regarding reincarnation. Well done you! Ian xx

I have always only ever got a few hours sleep at night ... dont know why the only time I get any real sleep is when I am sick as a dog and my body just collapses I was a little worried about using the blowing in the wind line ... but it just fitted so nicely and I love the wind lol sooo it stayed ... glad my big stirring stick worked ;) thank you for the wonderful comment and the laugh lol love and big hugs Jayne x x

Dearest One

This certainly fits with your beliefs on death and the after life. I prefer to be cremated and have my ashes scattered. But tell me dearest, who is Esperanza? a beautiful poem. Love Cat

Dearest Big Sis

I am going to be cremated and scattered to my beloved wind ... but I took a little poetic licence with this one ... so glad you liked it I wrote it a couple of weeks back and then left it alone ... till tonight .. lol love and hugs Jayne x x x

Dear Maggie

I was going to wait to see if Brian saw this one .. I made a reference to someone in this one and wondered if he might pick it up .... Pablo Neruda was partly the inspiration for this one ... see he always wrote in Green Ink and Ezperanza means hope ... and green is the colour of hope ... soo this is a little prayer that hopeful dreams do come true and thats for everyone ... dont let go of your dreams Magz ... dreams can carry you through the fire ... Love and hugs Jayne x x x

Can’t believe I missed

Can't believe I missed this! I loved the "Blowing in the wind" reference and I knew that Pablo Neruda always wrote with green ink. I have read some, not all of his work. I think I should go get all of it from the library. Gotta love that library card! ~ Gee

Love the changes, dear. I

Love the changes, dear. I once had the most vivid lucid dream about a garden of green...every shade of green was breathtakingly alive... vibrating with colour and sound. Green is associated with the heart chakra... love. Hugs, Mom "...when it agrees with reason and it will benefit one and all, then accept it and live by it." ~ Buddha
