The Fallen
Another day, another nightIt all rolls into oneYou cough and choke on acrid smokeGod what have you become Knee deep in mud surrounded by deathIn this trench that's your 'home'Please do not go over the top As you may fall alone Stay huddled up in your 'haven'Ignore the mighty callIf you head into no mans landThen lord knows where you'll fall You had to go you had no choiceA bullet tears through your chestNow face down in the blood and mudAt least now you're at rest I always pay my respects to youFor you my life you savedI lay my wreath and shed a tearAs I bow down at your grave.
