Goodbye Ruth

So goodbye Ruth
Yes it kills me to face the truth
Got to let you go
Why did I ever fall for you so

Do you know your name
Is an anagram of a word for pain
Which is what I go through
Everytime my mind drifts to you

It tears me right apart
Cos I never quite stole your heart
I look down at the floor
I can't bear this feeling any more

If you knew how I felt
Then maybe your heart would melt
If you'd let me in
I would guarantee your heart i'd win

So goodbye Ruth
Why does it hurt so, to face the truth
I know what this means
I guess i'll now fall apart at the seams.

hello

The title fits the poem and most of the language usage is good. You have given a new slant on an old subject/theme. My favorite lines are: Do you know your name Is an anagram of a word for pain Which is what I go through Everytime my mind drifts to you It is my opinion that this is the worst line: I would guarantee your heart i’d win I think that line needs some work. Just my opinion. Always, Cat
