Don't zip it

Don’t zip it yet

You just walked in and she said

Wow what a sight

You thought she was funny

Right

You smiled as she laughed

She was watching and enjoying

Every bit

You smiled and yet did not know

What made her so naughty?

To make fun and laugh and laugh

At you

Something must be amiss

You thought

As you turned around

Then saw yourself

In the mirror

You then saw it

Once again she said

Now don’t yet zip it

I like this funny, intimate snapshot but feel like

there's a missing punchline or twist that needs to come in the last stanza. I might also reorganize some of the stanzaz to make the pauses stand out better. I see three key moments here - her amazement (line one), your shock at her amazement (lines 10 and 13) and your recognition and appreciation of what she saw (line 18) so I would make these lines stand out. For example: Don’t zip it yet You just walked in and she said-- Wow what a sight You thought she was funny Right You smiled as she laughed She was watching and enjoying Every bit You smiled and yet did not know What made her so naughty? To make fun and laugh and laugh At you Something must be amiss You thought As you turned around Then saw yourself In the mirror You then saw it Once again she said Now don’t yet zip it Maybe make the last line the same as the first for a symmetrical ending. Enjoyed!
