Sugary days for children,

Sugary days for children

A necklace of chocolate hanging round my neck
Running through fields of golden toffee
I’m swimming in a river of sweet lemonade
And I do for sweet little me

Wading in vanilla ice cream I still play
Custard caramels I’d chomp with glee
Fresh cream and strawberry’s I slurp all the way
And I do it for sweet little me

One knickerbocker glory I could munch
Raspberry icecream well worth it’s 5peeee
Two bannana splits eaten before lunch
And I do for sweet little me

Lemon and liquorice still cover my lips
Biscuit and sponge cake for tea
Chasing the last crumb with fingertips
And I do it for sweet little me

Marching upstairs to her hot tub
Mother fusses at a cut above my knee
Gently at neck and ears she would scrub
And she’d do it for sweet little me….

Sweet poem! I think I’m

Sweet poem! I think I'm going to be running around in circles from a sugar high just reading it. Love your dog. I had a silver & black Shepard when I was 12 or 13, a lot of dogs, including mine had distemper. She was only 10 months old. I cried for years I think. ~A Couple of typos. at the cut would sound better, no? "...when it agrees with reason and it will benefit one and all, then accept it and live by it." ~ Buddha
