Blind Princess
Once upon a time
hidden deep within the world
lived a shy unknowing princess
a most intriguing girl
She thought herself as plain
though sightful, she could not see
the beauty that I beheld
that lit a flame in me
The sun would rise to peak
at the beauty she possessed
the roses bloom but put to shame
for they claimed her beauty best
The angels dance and sing for her
and claim her as their own
they'd give her wings if she'd accept
but claims she's never flown
The stars all fall from up on high
and long to find her side
yet she doesn't see, she doesn't know
of the beauty she would hide
If all could see, what manner be?
the world would be amazed
knights and kings and princes still
would jorney to steal a gaze
A million ships would set asail
a billion souls in awe
the precious jewel of who she is
a diamond with no flaw
What a world it'd be if she could see
that beauty in the mirror
many hearts would change and melt away
if she saw herself clearer
Perhaps one day she'll see it clear
the beauty that I see
if that day comes, oh what a change?
what a new world this would be
hidden deep within the world
lived a shy unknowing princess
a most intriguing girl
She thought herself as plain
though sightful, she could not see
the beauty that I beheld
that lit a flame in me
The sun would rise to peak
at the beauty she possessed
the roses bloom but put to shame
for they claimed her beauty best
The angels dance and sing for her
and claim her as their own
they'd give her wings if she'd accept
but claims she's never flown
The stars all fall from up on high
and long to find her side
yet she doesn't see, she doesn't know
of the beauty she would hide
If all could see, what manner be?
the world would be amazed
knights and kings and princes still
would jorney to steal a gaze

What a world it'd be if she could see
that beauty in the mirror
many hearts would change and melt away
if she saw herself clearer
Perhaps one day she'll see it clear

if that day comes, oh what a change?
what a new world this would be
