Silent Sparrows

Silent Sparrows

Eyes watched the skewed
inviting glance -

emotion mocked
the words

"small chance."

A tilted face
    half bitten nails

          petulance.

And I
so silenced
stood there still

blatant folly
of my will that felt
divine

yet secondary -

a pale
half empty bitten cherry.

But of free will?

(I pondered this)

the might, the wear
the token kiss in time
while clocks ticked fast
through years

as silent sparrows
shifted gears -

and remembered

blatant hiss
of promised care

that missed the wish.

I flew and simultaneously

I flew and simultaneously touched the ground with your poem, Pamela. Just an unhurried flow of consciousness--what wall? Well done! Light, Anna "...when it agrees with reason and it will benefit one and all, then accept it and live by it." ~ Buddha

Thank you

I am so pleased you enjoyed this one. Thank you for always being so supportive of my work. I appreciate it very much. It seems to be difficult to get members to read and leave their thoughts but I keep commenting and hoping, though I must admit, I am becoming a bit discouraged. Well, I will give it a bit more time before throwing in the towel. Thank you again. I appreciate the continued feedback very much. ~Pamela

Dear Pamela, just write,

Dear Pamela, just write, post, write, post, write (not necessarily in that order!;-) We do it for ourselves, and if the world notices, so much the better. However, I know what you mean about feeling *accepted*... I once wrote a poem about a lonely little poem that wasn't read.... ok, I wrote lots of 'em.... And Desade what an awesome fucking picture. Your hands look like branches... Are you a performance artist? Going to check out your profile & work; seems as though I may have missed yours. ;-( Ha! Thank you Desade

How wonderful for you to take a moment to read and comment. Just when I was beginning to think I had only one or two readers here. See what I get? I appreciate your kind words very much. Thank you. I look forward to reading you. And yeah, that photo is amazing. LOVE the hand movements. ~Pamela
