Who knows how the world is twisted

   it can be so

as when we were small
and laid on our backs in the winter darkness

and saw how the bright small dots
climbed steplessly
in the night sky

and we were just there

firmly on the top of the soil
ready to be crushed
by its mightiness

until
we began to understand

that we were nailed
to the vaults of earth
with billions of bright celestial bodies

below us

we held each other's hands
and together we flew over
this deep black abyss
of stars

I thought I would never let go

otherwise could any of us
endlessly fall

the world had twisted
but we always made it

because we

held each other's hands

darling
it might be

roughly so

And you have written this with love. A lovely poem that I could give no justice with words. Beautiful and it bought tears to my eyes. Best wishes and love to you. XX Lyz.

Dear O.Molly

What a wonderful poem, it's so delicate and full of love. The images are beautiful, and I could clearly see the stars, the little small dots that climb steplessly to the sky. Excellent poem, my dear friend O. Molly! Sincerely, Hugo

A beautiful expression of

A beautiful expression of love Molly. My favourite lines were that we were nailed to the vaults of earth with billions of bright celestial bodies It gives a sense of just how minuscule we are on this tiny planet of ours Somehow how insignificant ....until we hold hands together Seabhac

Thank You so much S. I will always be amazed by the thought that we are nailed to the earth and that we are on a planet in the middle of the universe. And I can not think of anything more beautiful than the love that is in the heart of it all. love to you. o molly

Excuse me Wanted_DOA

Hey when english is not your first language DOA such things might not be so obvious... I'd like you to try and write a piece correctly in swedish... And there is no need to be so destructive! Personally I think Molly is one of the best writers here because she has so much soul and heart to give, maybe you can try that too... Worldwide Freeride :)

I wonder

if "Wanted DOA" shouldn't ask herself the same question about first grade regarding etiquette. Bad form!

Reading your piece helps me know I'm in the right (write) place :-0>, and that I have so much to learn. I love the expression of love, friendship and togetherness. Suddenly a big mean world isn't so scary. Very nice work.

Ascend the skies and float on the vibe...

Molly, With such heartfelt words that transgress any relationship... be it friends, lovers or family you have the unique way and bond that connects us all to the rest of humanity. Between each glitter laden star is vast pit of blackness that must be ventured and with great balance and careful tread you skip joyfully between each star in this world and add extra sparkle to everyone. You get sucha feeling of togetherness and companionship in this piece... and it is to die for. So very, very good Molly! Hope all is well in your part of the world! Dale :)

As usual your imagery and

As usual your imagery and substance are very evocative You don't need anymore praise I would think, as your talent is uncontestable. What you do need is to consider your structure carefully. There are never absolutes in this regard but it would from my view be more balanced in the detail of the imagery from a readers perspective - if say line 1 joined 2&3. I know your intention in leaving the line " It can be so " separate. In doing so you give it that extra prominance that backdrops the rest of the poem. But For my enjoyment of the reading I prefer more connection to the following lines as this creates less of that "joint" of thoughts. Regardless of how you choose to construct it the work is beautifly crafted. .........o

Thank You O for reading my poem so carefully. Yes I am aware of that I should look into my way of structure. I sometimes translate my poems from my own language into english and I think that is the reason why the flow of the poem is missing. It is one of the most difficult part in translating I think. I am working on it and hopefully I will learn some day. I am very thankful for your suggestions they mean a lot to me. love. o molly

Yes I can imagine your

Yes I can imagine your difficulty in translating, and how the subtle meanings in translated words may not be conveyed. Maybe it would be of use for all of us at neopoet to take a course in Swedish. In seriousness, the change I mentioned was a minor one and arbitrary. I am glad in your awareness of structure as a defining element. It is somthing I am learning to use as well. With gratitude and humility at your graciousness. ........o

Do always send the Swedish

Do always send the Swedish version, for me and probably others who understand the language, unless perhaps it is a very very long poem!! I should always enjoy them in Swedish too. Edith Södergrën is one of my favourites from Sweden. Love Ann in Norway.

Yes Ann.. some of my poems

Yes Ann.. some of my poems are written in french but I think you are familiar with the french language as well. This is an english speaking site so I think to use another language other than english would be out of place. Yes Edith Södergran is one of my favourites too. I think she were born in Finland but Iam not totally sure. Another very famous swedish woman poet is Karin Boye. her most read poem is : ' visst gör det ont när knoppar brister ' it is a extremely beautiful poem I think. I would be happy to send you my orginal versions of some of my poems. Thank You so much dear Ann of Norway. Love. o molly

the first time I read this poem

I really loved it, and now it has come back and I can look at it again, what intrigues me so much about your poetry is the paceing, when I read your work I seem to fall into step with its rythmn so easily, so effortlessly, that I sometimes wonder if I'm ever coming back. love. Craig

I'm back I hadn't done with this in one go!

You throw us into the black abyss, into the space around, above, behind, and in our thoughts held fast the hand of one we love, what, ponders one is space but place too, not empty yet not solid to our gaze the earth oscillating on its axis slightly off centre as it is, they say, may well be tangible and yet it is of elements in tiny pieces 'sammensatt' glued and spewed from out of giant explosions, bombarded with meteorites which, with those from the moon clothed our globe so beautiful, with life giving chemicals whose actions and reactions became us and we all hold hands because we are of the same substances born. How wonderful how wonderful it all is. And you reflect that wonder in this poem. Isn't it Molly? Kjaerlig hilsen fra Ann
