More Than Skin Deep
There’s a pimple on my chest
I wonder how long it’s been there
It’s not even ready to pop yet
Or even big enough for me to care
I might give him a name though
And watch the boy evolve
Keep him warm and covered up
Protect him from the cold
Arnold? John? George? Or Jerry
I think Jerry pimple is probably best
After all he is a festering mound of pus
An infection none the less
He’s looking red and swollen
Though hidden by a mess of hair
Should I squeeze the sucker real tight?
Or pretend he’s not even there?
Nah! I couldn’t kill him just yet
He’s only young it wouldn’t be quite right
I’ll furnish myself with a shirt
And wait ‘till Jerry’s head turns white
Hmm…eh! I’ll burst him now
Before he can subside
I give his shoulders a squeeze
And *splat* out rush all my insides
Argh, I knew I should have waited
Now I’m inside out
This is much more inconvenient
Oh yes! much much more, without a doubt.
