Adam

The human race!

Is it a race?
What constitutes a race?
A challenge of worth, a cast of many, a prize?

Is it a race for humans or a rat race?
That's a question for the rats
And if it is a race, can it be won?
What honour could be so just?

What prize could befit one so gallant?
Surely not another race but celebration of the day

Is the prize a piece of cheese or just another maze?
What if the prize was what you wanted most!
Maybe a sur-prise for a knight so worthy

Is that an Angel in the morning light
I pray my eyes do not decieve
I cry i'm not mistaken
I think I've found my Eve
