One is indivisable

do we have choices
are they real
do we falter by the limits

do you know what you believe
are not all things the same
were we really here today

are we slammed into life to ride the bull

I am all and all is me, we are they, and they,
... they are everything

all too naturally
I reach for individuality
and find my neither left nor right
the never quite up or down
only to meet everything else there

enlightened comfort in the math

I am one among the parasites inhabiting this realm
I am all and all encompass me in this One thing,
Life, in the sweetly soured Now

Dear Richard

I love that you view the human race as parasites on the face of the Earth. (I do too.) Always, Cat

I can't help it, I just don't see man as being the all-important creature that he thinks he is, I see us as one of many, but together we are One.

I love the approach of the

I love the approach of the whole thing, it comes through as profound in some way. Telling the story of how we are all more alike than differant. Great read Moonman. Julie D.D.

Ironic isn’t it?

That we are ‘the everything’, as you put it. That I will believe. The other creatures of our planet are important, for we all depend on each other for our survival. Yet, man is set apart, above. More complex in in his making and functioning than any other creature on this Earth. I love your introspective mind and thought, Richard. It surprises me, the number of humans, that give no thought at all to their role upon the land or in the universe for that matter. It really is overwhelming when we ponder our possibilities, our existence. We watch the cycles of the ages, and in truth see relatively little change in the actions of man. I love the poem, the thoughts you put into it. It does make one stop and think. ( I hope, at least. lol.. did me!) Always, Tonya

It was so good to see you here... thank you for reading and commenting... I don't really think man is above the other creatures, we are simply part of the all, each is important to our survival, for life devours life to live... are we set apart, yes, because of our ability and willingness to offer compassion and understanding to each... yet, so many don't see it. thank you my good friend, hope you are jumping up and down, or at least desire it... Dear Richard,

Wow! are we slammed into life to ride the bull (double entendre) I am all and all is me, we are they, and they, ... they are everything naturally I reach out for individuality and find my neither left nor right the never quite up or down Life, in the sweetly soured Now I had to read this to Olya toot-de-sweet! You are way way up the cliff here. The word "individuality" is a little long. Perhaps, "I reach to differ" Among the parasites seems too much like taking sides. Maybe something less adverse. And Olya thinks that the word "Naturally" gets in the way. However, I wouldn't being suggesting tinkering if this was merely average in its current state. Brian

The last line says it all,

The last line says it all, dear Moonman. the bittersweet taste of Oneness in a bowl of sour cherry pits what do we throw away the man in the moon asks who do we leave behind? ~A "...when it agrees with reason and it will benefit one and all, then accept it and live by it." ~ Buddha

The unborn mind...

I really liked this. There is a nice progression from questioning uncertainty in the first few stanzas to the realization of Zen-like oneness at the end.

thank you for the read and I'm glad you liked it, the progression of acceptance takes some a lifetime to obtain, and sadly, some never realize it... loved your look into this! Richard
