Behemoth Leviathan Part 2 (An Homage to Eleazar Ben Kallir)
She traced his markings in the earth
felt for the touch of his scent upon the air
and he led her back to the mist watered spice breezes
in the valley below Eden
wherein she might make her poison
With song she lured him to her
beneath the wave she found fresh water
she wove to make him wild
she buried her self in the low bed
and her song shivered through
the rocks on land and on sea
and he was drawn to her
He ate of the fruits poisoned by her breast
and lapped at the mouth of her lake
and he found no solace
bewildered he feasted upon the dark earth
until famished for meat
and he feasted on
until she feared he might die
From behind she approached
and sank her teeth deep
into the meat of his neck
and she drank him into herself
and she tore from his soul
a cry on fire
That stirred the East and West winds
Again the Angels in the breeze
tore the beast asunder
uncupping the bone from its socket
to alter its shape and painfully her nipple
entered his mouth to hold the life inside of him
And a self evicorating cry to the heavens
tore from the flesh of the beast in wish to be no more
bestirred the god of the mountain
provoked the lightening firmament into action
The screaming serpent
prepared to snake and wind
yet reared for battle he moved at her
her arse splayed to the elements
back tensed arched anticipating death
Behemoth, the concealed one
threaded his scent through the trees
maddening her and maddening
at the intimacy of her body's nearness
now invisible that she divined to raze all
Eden down if she could not have him
Transubstantiated by the Angels
of the four compass winds
Into the figure of man and woman
after a sacred rite in battle
they melt a moment in one
Leviathan impaled Behemoth's
blood daubed spear upon
then they were separated
he to the east hills
and she to the red sea shores...
felt for the touch of his scent upon the air
and he led her back to the mist watered spice breezes
in the valley below Eden
wherein she might make her poison
With song she lured him to her
beneath the wave she found fresh water
