Promises

`

Data storage now keeps forgotten memories;
images and words from jubilant revelries.

The clock is a blur of digits these days
and nothing is clear but tomorrow's maze.

So off we go to bury unwitnessed sunsets;
replacing our garden beds with plastic regrets.

hello

I liked your title, but, would "Promises Broken" or "Broken Promises" have suited it better? The theme is a good one, but I would have liked it to have more examples, more information to digest. Always, Cat

Thanks Cat

I have received similar observations on the length (or brevity) of this poem. And I will look into that eventually. As for the title, it was a hope that without qualifying the concept of 'promises' the poem would nudge the reader toward the feel of brokenness. Thank you for your helpful words.
