Memory Lane

I knew peace when I knew not the world
For I thought not about life
And my life far away in a land
Where none exist I died not
I cried wild on my first breath of life
For I am cursed with mortality
Till I am gone I’m always worried
By the memory of my old world of peace
World of tales never told
But thats where we all come from
But there I return only to meet
The tampered souls only returning
When they could not outlive their curse

hello

I could really relate to this profoundly deep poem. My favorite lines are: I cried wild on my first breath of life For I am cursed with mortality Birth is that first rude awakening. Always, Cat
