fear and comets

Like nothing else, Poe feared comets
and their onslaught.  In the same
way, I fear the disruption of words;
an aching consonant,
a bitten vowel, the inky armor
of words peeling off
like dried paint.

Interesting poem, a theme I can't say I have ever seen before. I, too, love words. the inky armor of words peeling off like dried paint. most excellent! Always, Cat

Beautiful

I always love reading your work, I never can know what is next. I agree with Poe. In the summer a large green meteor ripped through the sky, it was during a meteor shower but it went completely untracked and surprised even Nasa. I was driving home and this meteor lit up the entire sky like it was daylight, I'm not at all kidding. I was pretty shook up for days, it was eerie too much like an atom bomb. This lit up peoples dark bedrooms. Comets meteors and the like can be very haunting.
