Nature Re-incarnates

A seed
mother of flower
father of tree
enigma of self
living, yet not aware,
changing, yet eternal,
searching
falling into dirt

Sunlight
enemy of darkness
follower of rain
sentinel of God
blessing, yet not blest,
orthodox, yet not divine,
beaming
warming the earth

A tree
ancestor of forest
grandson of sprig
image of growth
silent, yet never still,
moving, yet never gone,
crying
dropping a seed

Hey Lon

A bit different for you but very good. I like the title, the theme has appeal and the logic is consistent. I really like the way you did this. Respectfully, Rett: Come and join in for Neonight, October 27, 2009 at 8:00 to 8:45 PM Eastern time. Meet and talk with the AEC chair, Andrew! Rett

Lonnie:

I see in your poem the process of growth, from seed to tree, from tree to fruit, and perhaps ever moving again into the light, which is the sentinel of God, as you say. Your sentences are really poetic, and they would probably profit from a thought- string on which to place the many images I see in your poem. Best regards, Hugo

Beautiful and lovely your

Beautiful and lovely your poem, dear Lonnie! Fortunately, growth does come to all of us, no matter how unwilling we are at times. But first the pruning... first the seed. ~A

As always it is such a joy to read your work. You far exceed my abilities. I've read this four times now trying to find fault where there is none. Chrys
