Sweet Inspiration

Serendipity's wind is breathing 'round my knees
and it takes me not, by surprise
because every whisper from this breeze

helps me to recognize,
I hear the lonely cries,

as life's weather has it's way with every soul.

Circumstance can obscure with it's grit in my eyes
as I grab a hold of the days first ray
and as the sun begins it's rise

I've already begun to pray,
that come what may,

I'll deny life the enjoyment of taking it's toll.

~

Reflecting showcases the truth in every dream
and so I ponder and peruse what time may bring
I'm alive and aware as I quietly gather up steam

love is life's greatest thing,
so I begin to sing,

and the comfort in my chest helps me to cope.

~

Now in the library of my very heart and soul's place
I freely recognize my life's an empty shadow without you
any and all true meanings quickly disappear without a trace

this precious light of yours, so true,
has a warming glow that fills me, through

you've defined for me...grace, love, inner peace, and hope.

Dear Docmaverick

Before I comment, I must say, I like your new pic and what an amazing smile that greets. Beautiful as is this poem of yours. It is a little sad and the way you have described, the suns first rays etc did make this write a little reflective. I know that this has a stronger meaning, and how things of late have made you feel, but I did enjoy this beautifully worded poem, and please be inspired to write more sweet words. ...I was beginning to think that this one was as uncommentable as was the one before it ! I'll admit that I have been a little pensive and reflective, of late, so I guess that's the "fire under the pot". Thanks for the kind and generous words...but, one question; how come I just finished changing my "avatar".....and I can't see the new pic, but you can ? What's the deal with THAT ?! I am not sure but I like it. Very cheeky grin, lol. Yes I know you may have thought that your writes of late may feel uncommentable, but not really. I find some cant for fear of upsetting but I have a weird way, maybe because I have been on my death bed, so to speak, and all avoided me, but my husbands mum made me talk and talk, doesnt take too much encouragement, lol, but now I talk and try to find a lighter fun way to talk with others who endure such pain and a lot of mind aches, I call them. So if I come across nosy or off the planet a bit, it is only because I know what it is like to be in your position, sort of. When someone is or has been ill, some do not know what to say, I am that way too at times. God, I would love to say heaps more but you might punch me, lol. I think your writes will help and if I did not like them, I would not comment and even if they are reflective, I would rather that than you bottling up anything. Sorry I have raved a bit but I feel you are a little lost and I want u to smile like your hot to trot cheeky, near back to your comedic self avatar grin. Lol. I Love this Doc...It is written with a different rhythem.....

and that pleases me...In the Library of your heart..there is a lot to be said..and I for one would and could listen forever and ever. by the by I don't see the new picture...I still see a dog with sun glasses!! help!!LOL
