The Beckoning
The Beckoning
It was a black-hearted,
Satanic, matrimonial ceremony,
Not to be confused with
A Pagan Handfasting.
Though many of the ignorant masses
Wouldn't know the difference
The bride wore a long, black, satin gown,
a train of black, flowing lace
Covered her long, dark, silken mane of hair.
Her pale skin glowed
in the onyx candle-lit church
Of "Our Father Of The Original Sin."
She walked down the aisle to take
The hand of her intended.
Both bride and groom to be
Knelt at the alter of
"The Prince of Lies."
They took the razor blade
and, palm up, each, in turn,
Made a small slice in their wrists.
Three drops of blood
dripped into the chalice
From which each took a sip
And the Priest from Hell
Cursed their souls, each in turn...
