China Doll
High upon a shelf
On a forgotten attic wall
Lived a lonley china doll
Once upon a time
She had been
A beauty queen
Every little girl's dream
Now she sat staring
Alone and dreaming
Of what she used to be
Tattered, worn out dress
Used to be the bluest silk
Dusty blonde curls
Now reduced to
A hopless mess
All she wanted
Was to be loved
All she wanted
Was a family
Of her own
One that wouldn't grow
And leave her behind
Days went by
Months turned to grey
The china doll
Had enough of her stay
They found her
On the floor
Shattered pieces
Tell the tale
Of her broken life
The once beautiful little doll
Finally ended her strife
On a forgotten attic wall
Lived a lonley china doll
Once upon a time
She had been
A beauty queen
Every little girl's dream
Now she sat staring
Alone and dreaming
Of what she used to be
Tattered, worn out dress
Used to be the bluest silk
Dusty blonde curls
Now reduced to
A hopless mess
All she wanted
Was to be loved
All she wanted
Was a family
Of her own
One that wouldn't grow
And leave her behind
Days went by
Months turned to grey
The china doll
Had enough of her stay
They found her
On the floor
Shattered pieces
Tell the tale
Of her broken life
The once beautiful little doll
Finally ended her strife
