Apples-Sauce!

Red and shiny apples hang heavy on the branch

Waiting for pie baking fingers

Frosty breath fogging my glasses

As I pick up a peck from my saucy lass

Crunchy, juicey bites drip...

Sweet dribbles down my chin

Oral delight, teeth snapping

Through taut, crispy skin

Reaching high for best of best

Feel the sun warm my face

Sweet scent of fruit

Competing with the bees

For nectar of the Autumn gods

Oh, how heavenly the emotion

Hand in hand, walking through the rows

Hot cider with fried cakes, and talk...

What wonders, does this day hold?

Music of heart, beats strongly in my chest

I love... I love... I love...

Sweet lady of mine

My vision sees...

Clearer now, than I ever have seen

Forever and ever, I know this true

I will always and ever, have this love for you

Thanks for taking...

The time to read. I know you were tired last night. It just turned out that way. I was day-dreaming that Wendy and I were on an apple picking trip together, and it turned into a wish for us. I envisioned a perfect day for us to go and have a good time. That is how it came to be. Higgest bugs, ~ Gee

He will be back...

Before ya know it! Like I said; It was a daydream sort of thing that just turned into a poem for Wendy. I was thinking of how her and I, used to go out for a ride, and we just went places we never went before, somtimes we got a little lost but we didn't care. We had no one to answer to. That's how we started the apple-picking thing. One year we just stopped by this orchard and thought it would be a cool thing to do. We don't always get to go anymore...Anyways....I just...Ummmmm, Oh, I meant that, I'm glad you liked it! Thank you, Higgest of all bugs and hugs, Gee

A credit to the state of neopoet land

OH how well you love her, oh how well. This is a joy to read, you take our hands and show us bliss with this kiss of a poem. I think we all want to come and see, and hear and smell and not least TASTE the juicy bites the fried cakes and hot cider. Wow those sound so exciting, I have never heard of hot cider, it can knock one out cold, but hot? And fried cakes perhaps some variation on the Apple cake? The nectar of the gods, well we shall have to use our imagination here, Gee my good knight, sir, you do us proud with this charm of yours. I shall invite myself to tea in a thrice! Love Q Ann of Norway.

since cutting intake and junk food

going hungry and burning off calories to hide the emotional cravings I stuffed I am noticing how delicious apples salads and fruits are and running out of coffee Im eating oranges more and just tonight had a delicious yellow apple I may have to go and consume one for an early morning snack now! A marvelous peice of prose for apples and lady I helped take care of only a few trees years past but they were rewarding to see exactly what a properly attended too tree can provide Many fat round yellow apples then nothing like striding across the feild come Autumn and plucking a ripe juicy orb or taking a long pole and loosening one for treat a wonderful poem sir I greatly enjoyed Thank You

the devilment that has asssuaged your lungs

I wasn't going to enter the site just now but on seeing my dear Knight Sir Geezer had been ill, what could a poor Queen do but tune in to add her sympathy for the devilment that has asssuaged your lungs and person, zounds on them, they shouldn't disturb such an honoured memeber of the regimant of poets, fy on them!!! I do hope your condition is improving and that you will soon feel capable of riding through the plains of these pages with renewed vigour, with you horse and cavalry in tip top order dear sir. I send strength to your cause, but do not tax it too much at first, take it easy, at least we know you're still there. Greetings and good wishes from your Queen, wih her love too of course, Ann.

Enjoyable

This poem was a joy to read. I like how you made a tribute to something simple and made it beautiful. I like how you made it a devotion to "Autumn Gods" while family and home come to mind. Pure and sweet, keep writing!

Enjoyable...

You have got it in one! it started out as an apple-picking trip, such as my wife and I go on every year. We couldn't go this year, so I decided to take a virtual trip through this poem. It turned into a love poem for my wife. I started with the premise that if I were going to make this trip, it would be a perfect day. This was my interpetation of that day! Thank you for the read. ~ Geezer

Congrats?

What's with the congrats? Did I win something? Did I get a prize? I certainly got a prize when I got my wife. She has been most understanding when I have needed it most. She has stood by me with Killer...She has cried when I have cried, she has laughed when I have laughed. She is the light of my life! Never before has something or someone taken over my very being, the way she has. Killer has been part of my life for longer, but she has been a bigger part. She managed to push him to the back of the room, for a long time. But when I told her that he had to be free, she agreed, and told me to bring him out. She says that we need each other and must finally come together. She is so insightful! Sauce is her name! She is the topping on my life, Gee
