Lover's Art (Warning Adult)

Gosh, I am in total awe lately, everyone is writing with a new found passion. I am loving it. Now Edge got me in the beginning then wham bam thank you mam at the end, I thought this romantic tryst was the making of a new man. Lol. i know we are supposed to help with minor adjustments, something I hate doing, but I have not read anything that has had to be fine tuned, thank goodness. Lol. Um oh here I was drooling with erotic passion, my mind dancing with prurience and my body wrapped up in an electric blanket of amativeness... only for you to stick the surgeon knife, twisting it, snapping off the blade and leaving bit of me to decorate the allleyways like a pizza topping... any relation to Jack The Ripper Cat? No really? lol! Love the entanglement that snares the reader just like the victim... and then you actually feel the shock and and recoil in abject horror from the tomato ketchup (or is that raspberry sauce?) that sudden spews forth from your jumper (shouldn't have been eating that burger or ice cream cone, whilst reading this!) add wounding stains that will forever be etched upon you! And how I loved you and this piece... and they you go and kill us... you heart breaker lol! Superb climax and excellently worded my dear Cat... you never cease to amaze me! Dale :)

You sure are working on a split personality with this Edge person, though I can surely relate to that (split personalities)---and poetry writing seems to bring some of these colorful characters out of hiding. I'm scaring myself lately. No, I've posted nothing like that yet on neopoet---working up the nerve on that. The poem is compelling. I'm left to my warped imagination about those gloves. Cat, you were kind to me in your comments. I appreciate your notes on Big Skies. In exchange, and because you say you want "raw" criticism, the only thing I would suggest is that for the last line substitute 'paintbrush' for 'scapel'. That way, Lover's Art becomes a metaphor for a canvas upon which to work...on your lover of course. What do you think? The piece is perfection. /dv/

I love a good erotic poem. This one was simple, detailed and to the point. I love the line "immortalize you with my dancing scalpel". What a great way to describe what was going on!!!! As you know I have dabbled with gothic erotic poetry and this one is just awesome.
