The Fall

In the grand scheme of things
I offer up, my part...
for guidance and direction
as the day gets set to start.

On the horizon are the guidestrings
and building blocks of the day,
for each, they could be "footholds"
or they could be obstacles in the way.

Absent of preconceptions
the roads have fences that were made,
from rules and regulations
which sometimes seem to fade.

Yet, I possess no difficulties
disgarding optimism with each mile,
for a pessimistic outlook
could bring a bright,  serendipitous smile.

Acknowledging the existence
of all the others, in my view...
my heart swells with considerations
for my fellows, in all I do.

The Fall, has come and taught the wind
how to quietly undress the trees,
and I feel confident, that on this day
I'm alive, for I am.....the breeze !

Dear Doc

Yes, you are alive. And what a beautiful way to describe life in this beautiful poem, you are the breeze, and I love the last stanza. You have been through so much and I know there is a lot going on in your mind and I hope your words are helping you to heal, I loved this poem, I feel you are coming to terms with things, and I hope you do not take offense at my concern. I think u are a man of talents, writing, musical and maybe many more, so, dear man, believe when I say, Loved this, I have respect for u, and I care for u my friend. well done on this write. Love Lyz. XX

Well, Lyz....

...that's all we can ever do...right? Just keep on, keepin' on ! I'm happy that you liked the ending of the poem, so...your comments were greatly appreciated. I'm doin' okay...so, not to worry or be overly concerned. Actually, since I've had this pace-maker I've felt pretty good! I've had to "weather" much worse. (I was married, twice!) You see, for a time...I was severly attracted to "shrews". Lol ! "Write on"! sincerely, #{:-{)}8==== docmaverick.

Thank you, Antoinette....
