In Sensory Findings

Kick over the right stone,

And yeah, you’ll find a grub.

Writhing and coiling upon itself

Naked but absolved

Subject to every whim of the sun.

Stare into the right eyes

And yeah, you’ll find a story

Hidden, buried in the soul

Pain, suffering, and self worth

A silence worthy of a thousand words

Sit back, Observe every tragedy

And yeah, you’ll find a fairytale

Masquerading mysteriously

Even to its beholder

In the innocence, the essence of children

Tear at these buttons

And yeh, you’ll find an appealing sentiment

Carved into the centre of my chest

Dissimilar text in dissimilar texture

Discoloured and heavily keloided

Collapse the homes of the forlorn

And yeah, you’ll find me

Bloated, bruised and blue

Setting fire to my photographs

And with painted eyes of obsidian

….I can see through everything.

Boss...

the gift of discernment is a treasure trove that comes along with a touch of plague, when one can see the beauty, one can surely see the rest of the story... your poems fill me with pleasure, leave me smiling in thought. Richard

In sensory Findings

With those painted obsidian eyes you can see all the facets of the story unfolding before you. How wonderful a write. My favorite lines are: Sit back, Observe every tragedy And yeah, you’ll find a fairytale Masquerading mysteriously Even to its beholder You are an excellent poet. Always, Cat

Yeah

The ‘and Yeah' is so dismissive in the way you used it repeatedly almost as a chorus. It is slightly scary in its intimation that you have seen everything and the tone of the poem makes me believe that. Lyz be noisier please it allows the reader a better context to 'know more'
