Avalanche
Shhh, silence! Please, not another sound,
Or all my emotions will all come crashing down,
All my fears, all my worries, and all of my doubts
Like a running faucet, they’ll all be poured out
Shush, that’s enough, no more talking, not a peep
That cliff of pain, up there on top, is looking pretty weak
Run, seek cover, take shelter, PLEASE HIDE!!!!
Like a tsunami it’ll catch you and crush you in its tide
Hush, be quiet, shut up, and don’t say a word
What’s that in the distance, that sound my ear’s just heard
And are those more cliffs up top, cliffs of shame and defeat
That sound’s getting louder, the earth trembles beneath my feet
Desperation and anxiety are the first to give away,
Following closely behind grievance as destruction paves the way,
An unexpected extraordinary occurrence conspired all by chance,
And then my last warning ends with me shouting,
“Look out everyone, AVALLLAAAANNNNNNCHE!!!”
