Today I wear black

Today I wear blackTo mourn the passing of a loveThe grieving, a healing stageIn the theatre of life’s angst I have lost my sparkleMy jewelled outward signOf beauty within.Much has been said of its lossIt has been noted and missed. Inside a facet of my soulHas diedI grieve that passingHonouring its existenceKnowingThere is beauty in farewellsI celebrate its life in deathToday I wear black.

Dear Liz

I wear black tomorrow. I know your poem relates to the loss of love but to me it has related to the loss of life and I found this poem a soothing array of words. You are a very beautiful poet, a lot of your poems always seem so fitting. I love reading about life's perceptions etc and you always seem to be able to hit a home run so to speak, with me. Thank you very much dear Liz. From Lyz. XX

Thanks lyz

In some cases Lyz loss of love is loss of life...we all know of couples whoes partner may have died and they loose the will to live without them. There is the intimation of all the people I have lost who are no longer in my life and the acknowledgement that I morn their passing. Thanks you for your kind comments Liz

Dear Seabhac:

Nice poem, I like the way you sense the world, the way you remember and feel your own internal life, it tells a world about the kind of woman that you are. And most of all I like the way you are writing. It's really great! Sincerely, Hugo
