An Omnipotent Friend

It's another day for many
however, for a select few;
it's a time to deal with heartaches
and to figure out, "What to do?"

Every time this happens
it violates more and more,
and the question asked is, "Why would God...
..allow this, and whatever for?"

God isn't who caused all of this distress
or all individual calamaties,
it's because Adam and Eve picked the fruit
off of one, and not the other trees.

Fire season in California
is overwhelming, to say the least.
Adam and Eve allowed disasters to happen
when they first unleashed the "beast".

I believe my God truly loves us
and is mourning too, you see.
Disasters strike, and God gets the blame
from all, including you and me.

So let's get our wits about us
and help everyone who's been condemned,
by sharing what God's blessed each of us with
we gain knowledge of an omnipotent friend.

Dear Doc

Where has the music gone. This is a very strong poem and with an effectual message. I love reading your poems and I feel you have a very sad presence in this write. I know you have been through a hell of a lot of late, and I wish you only the best. Your words of wisdom ring through loud and clear. You have a great love of life. There is power in these words. Love to you and yours. Best wishes, love from Lyz. XX

I still have my grip on the tune....

...these days; not to worry. I just had a pace-maker installed, and maybe this latest episode brought mortality, to my door...I dunno. I do know that, I'm really tired of hearing, "Why would God do this to the innocent?" The answere's easy, He doesn't. Thanks for the very generous remarks. "Write on"! sincerely, #{:-{)}8==== docmaverick.

Dear Doc

I am glad to hear you still have the music in you and I feel for all you have been through. I do agree with what you portrayed in this poem, it is we that are the culprits. And yes, we all have to blame some one or something for all the pain and suffering, which I think most of us are guilty of. It is like that old saying, take a good look in the mirror. I hope though that this scare with mortality has given you a new found strength yet left your beautiful personality alone. All the best and lots of wihes and love. From Lyz. XX
