Something Creepy

Something creepy in the night
something creepy just out of sight
What is it that lingers in the dark
Waiting there to give us a start
Eyes of yellow glow, fangs terrible to behold
Blood stained lips, clawed hands that rip
A glimpse of something scurry by
You’ve see it that’s no lie
Are you truly ever alone
or
Does something creepy lurk in your home?

LOL, Dana

Excellent! A wonderful addition to the October Halloween poems! The things that creep around in the dark, at my house are; four pussycats! Always, Cat

Something Creepy

A beautifully written poem, though scarry. You have successfully left the readers guessing what that creepy thing is. It is perhaps the fear of the unknown. Let it be unknown. I don't want to guess it, but, wish you a bright sun in the life of your poetry. -Mohammad
