Goodbye Kiss

Ever as my temples gray
with blend of browns and whites;

        sweeter skies are calling,
tender quiet seeks them out.

Fresher breaths await my course -
though memory serves to vanquish light

where autumn reds deliver care
a fresher touch
          on lighter air.

That which once was golden - gone

and heart releases joy now known
to peace pulled wisdom on sweet lips

of goodbye kiss

          with goodbye kiss.

I like

the word choice and theme ti is very beautiful. I would have liked to see the rhythm off the first 4 stanzas maintained till the end.

Dear Wisteria

A sensual type read and I loved it. Read slow and low you could feel that last kiss as final. Loved it. Love Lyz. XX

Dear Wisteria

I felt a kind of ... settling? settling for something that isn't what was intended ... and the poignancy of that final 'peace pulled wisdom on sweet lips' ... there is a gentle poignancy that makes my heat jolt ... thats when I know its good ... well done ... Kind regards Jayne

Thank you

It is a poignant piece - this is true. There is a settling in the sense that one is settling for the inevitable, the end of life. It makes me feel good to know my words have touched you. Thank you.
