ODE TO A YOGI FLYER

I fall from so highand hit the ground -you as a backdrop make no sound immutable, why rush?it's only life's mystery that this onewill crush. you feel no paindissociated -why crywhen all you wantis to fly... above the realitiesof love and lustbeyond the shortfall ofturning to dust you remainthe yogi and meditator, your own emotional regulator - no longer a man -but a monk....no longer a tree of life - but a lifeless stump. BjR  October 5 '09

hi Boni

above the realities of love and lust beyond the shortfall of turning to dust you remain the yogi and meditator, your own emotional regulator - These lines remind me of a guy I was with for too long. It was difficult to be with someone that was so perfect that he was too far above it all. (he really did have human failings, just wouldn't admit to them.) I really like these lines. But the first line: I fall so high bothers me, maybe "I fall from so high"? Just a suggestion. Always, Cat

Thanks Cat!

You're right as ever! The opening lines came from a song by British guy MOBY... don't know if you've heard of him - guess that's why I subliminally messed them up since I kinda plagiarized it! Truth about this guy is that he meditates 8 hrs 24/7... and that's literally a Yogi Flyer! You CAN'T TOUCH THAT! Guess it was just me venting - not a great poem, but an interesting release! Cheers Bonita j

Kaligantsaros!

Thank you so much for that REALITY CHECK! When one is trying to engage emotionally with someone like this - it's literally like banging your head on an impenetrable wall! (yup - I know the old S & M routine!) I'm sure it'll throw a lot of light on most of my work! Hence no need to link the poems as there is a thread running through them all! So glad you're on my side though - pity I won't have 10 years to wait around, as was the case with your friend! ;) lol Boni
