Charybdis

  Multiplying cells, spit and brine
   Enzymes swimming, conjugal
      juices form scorched land
        Hot pool, nascent things
             to restore an order
               that'll wane with
                        pride?
Teaspoon trails few grains around
    Lukewarm dial round'n'round
        Slight maelstrom of age

Yes, our pleasure, you're good at that... cheers

Of course it's a tea cup, I chuckled & felt proud of myself for making the connection (I seem to crave that in writers & feel sated when some less obvious elements become apparent). Actually I DO think it adds to the poem wonderfully though, it lends a kind of rushing swirling energy to the flow of the words, & I love that on getting to the saucer the energy settles & stabilizes a bit to allow reflection. Lovely, I shall have to go & make one now (I am having to cut down to hardly any coffee, sigh!) Cheers Anni~ "When we feel love and kindness toward others, it not only makes others feel loved and cared for, but it helps us also to develop inner happiness and peace". H.H. the Dalai Lama

I find jasmine tea to be quite addictive,- if you need a substitute for coffee. As always, thanks for reading, Anni. Yours, Espen

Slight maelstrom of age...

What's that? The enjoyment of the contents of the "Tea cup"? Good cogitative stuff this Espen. You're on form as usual! Cheers Boni

Dear Boni

Thanks for coming by, Boni. If you ever see the sun in your tea cup, drink slow. Yours, Espen
