In a shimmer

I am
the carrier
the messenger
carrying word and soul
in my hands

I am
the witches drum in the night
moist hair in a fire dance
the dove queen
sister lightning

the bat with soft ears
the eagle
the lynx quietly tip toeing

the rabbit
and the wild horse
seeking a stable

the patient listener
the healer
the dangerous hot temptress

                                         chéri

and if I said

I want you

                                        je t'aime

if I said it

I am the universe

                                      le monde entier

I am
the past time and the present

I am
the spring
and everything
can now begin
 again

re this poem

I quite liked this. liked the back & forth between anglais et francais. nice flow, but Im not sure if you need all those "thes" prefixing your lines. also, in the 1st stanza, I would look for some way not to include carried & carrying in the same stanza. just a thot, peter

Dear Molly,

There is more than a touch of pagan siren in this poem. These words are the literary personification of female flirtation. It is the camp fire dance, but on the way to the furs. Such calls come chock full of power implications and tension. One almost feels like it would not be polite except to answer such a call. But then the dance of soft ears is not inherently about politeness. Storms spring where that soft cursor of yours falls. It is something to read. Brian

Brian Thank you Brian for

Brian Thank you Brian for your comments. I feel honored. It is wonderful that you captured the feeling I wanted to convey in this poem. I had a thought of something like flamenco, which I often find very sensual and beautiful. The woman who is totally focused on the dance and is just herself and where there is a kind of 'wildness' that fascinates. Yes a flirtation is exactly what it is... Spring and Love o molly

Molly,

your darling dove queen, sister lightning is flying again. I loved reading this, in particular the French snippets. I daresay Brian is right in remarking on the flirtatious quality. It is a whispered promise - with a hint of threat. Yours, ~Nina

A shimmering beacon in far away lands...

Yes the moments shared around such wiccan blaze bonfires as they dance acrobatically are for now to be looked back upon with wisdom and promise... yet the future is not mentioned... are the hedonistic capers fementing the soil and woodland surrounding to enjoy the moment there and then??? The seductive croon these playful witches have is almost irresistable, You seem somewhat playful here Molly, with added sensual shimmers that ripple the page in french words in a brilliant manner. Love the staggered meter that leatherheaded drums sound in canter as the world swirls in motion as they prance with glee in the wild and their visions and wilderness friends come to stop and watch in awe. I'd love to see someone actually dance this ... love the tribal raw feel you have produced here Molly and your subtle teasing elegance charms all the readers with ease, as only a head witch with spellbinding sorcery could ever do! You must be the head of the coven and sabat Molly! Great poem! Dale :)

Thank You so much Dale.In a

Thank You so much Dale. In a shimmer and in a thunder belongs to each other but I guess you figured it out already. As always your comments is wonderful and so full of energy and life. You are such a good writer Dale and no one can paint with words as you do. So beautiful of you to read all my poems and to give comments on everyone. You make much happiness. Have been busy with work and today we were working with concrete and that is a interesting material because of its many possibilities and it is wonderful to mix it with the softness of textiles and maybe poems as well to make it complete. I hope all is well with you my dear friend. thank you again and again.. love. o molly

Awwwww Gee :)

Hey Molly! Thanks for the vote of confidence in my writing... but compared to the wonders of your own penning I am just a shadow in comparison! I love reading your work Molly, it is so refreshing and thought provoking and so wonderfully writen, but from knowing you as a person Molly, I know it comes from your own heart, artist talent and intellegence! Concrete! I work inconjuction with the construction industry so have encountered cement and concrete on numerous occations... did you use the ready mixed type in which you just add water or do you make your own by adding all the ingredence together? If you add silcon you make it more brittle but it can take more weight and is harder wearing and there really are so many other varients you can play with! I wonder if you are going to use it with textiles to coat or overlay something? Like over wire mesh to coat it and give it form... I so like the idea of a concrete poem! I really would like to see so your ingenious creations! Huge happy hugs for you! Dale :)
