Snippets........

Snippets of memoriesPlay themselves through one’s mindScreen missing, yet seen as clear as dayLeaving one with the wish that it could be some other way Snippets of memoriesJagged bits of life come and goneSome remembered with no pain, no achingOthers remembered with plenty of ache, taking and leaving strain Snippets of memoriesLong forgotten pieces of puzzles,Moments that have made life what it is todayThough some of these pieces seem to be missing, lost Snippets of memoriesFading and solidifying in the mists of timeViewed as though through the eyes of anotherFelt, as though they were so real, strangling, leaving one to smother Snippets of memoriesLeaving one feeling safe, lovedEncouraging in their words long since spokenEven though more often than not, promises contained therein have been broken Snippets of memoriesThe very make up of who we areThe past that haunts, taunts and drives fearThe future that whispers the promise of dreams fulfilled Snippets of memoriesSo vital in their existenceAs needed as the next breath of airLeaving one feeling like they can go, can be anywhere

Jill,

this one oozes melancholy. The structure works very well with your theme here, the repeating lines are like a scene that keeps replaying in one's head. I guess we all have these snippets of memories inside us... Yours, ~Nina

Yes we do.....

Hi Nina, Thankyou for reading. Yes we all do have those snippets of memories within us, some of them seems to be broken bits and pieces, and others are more whole. Something that for some reason was really running through my mind the other night and had to try and put those thoughts to paper. Yours in Script Jill Mistakes happen, do not dwell on them, live them, mourn them and move on to better things. (PS: if that does not work eat lots and lots of chocolate)

Like Nina said

an inventive, effective structure, but I think some of those long last lines could be trimmed just a little. Your craft and expression have come a long way since we met. Cheers, Jess, reprehensibly irrepressible

Thank you Jess!

All through the journey to what ever it is each and everyone of us is searching for Jess. I think through this any craft that one may practicce or have improves with time, and experience. Yours in script Jill Mistakes happen, do not dwell on them, live them, mourn them and move on to better things. (PS: if that does not work eat lots and lots of chocolate)
