My Heart of Hearts
I saw you smile, today
and dismissed, were the private expectations that have obscured my sight for so long,
and suddenly, my vision and heart became one and the same,
and they danced in reverent honor for your beguiling charm.
Tickled, was I
that I should be made privy to such a precious moment,
and that my faculties were of such integrety
that I was allowed to record it on my very soul.
I saw that glint in your eyes today, too
you know.....that one that says, "I know something, that you don't.";
and somehow, the joy that the outcome brings you...
puts a kind of glide in your stride.
I know for a fact that I saw it
because, I felt your inner light emerse itself inside of me,
assuring your place in my heart...
and allowing my heart...to be in the right place...and so, I thank-you.
