The Other Side Of Me

When I look into the mirror
What do I see?
A girl with a face like mine,
Making fun of me.
She tells me I am a weakling,
That I have a spine of a jellyfish
And to stand up and defend my self,
Is her only wish.
But there is more to her than that,
You can see the devil in her eyes
And all this rubbish about sticking up for me
Is just a bad disguise.
She wants to completely destroy,
All that has done us wrong,
She truly believes that if you dont conquer and kill
It proves that you aren't strong.
But the things she tells me to do,
Sends a shiver down my spine
I cannot believe that evil girl's
Thoughts are the same as mine
She laughs at me and sneers
Throwing me looks of pure disgust
"If I  am going to help you "she snarls
"Then obey me, you know you must"
So I avoid every mirror, for I refuse to see
The carnage I am capable of, the other side of me.

Do some carnage, my dear

or you will never be taken seriously. But perhaps wisest to commit that carnage with words, as you approach here. Take it from a cranky old lady who had to be a right bitch just to have her intellect heard in the 1950's. I only with-hold one star for some slight scansion flaws (read it aloud in a speaking voice, not like a song lyric, you will hear what I mean) and in anticipation of carnage to come! kind regards, Jean, meow, yip, purr, yowl and perfect body language expresses all

Green Eyes

I have always said that before you look at your reflection in a mirror it is best to find a perfect mirror, this will show your true spirit, it will show you that you can only carry bad feelings etc: you cannot be them, these are burdens that fall off when you cross over, there your true spirit will show you what you have done with the life you have been given, and then you will answer to all those things you have done and the scales of right and wrong will be tipped to one or the other. Hopefully to the good side then you can find your true place. Woops that sounds like a sermon. Well written and good to read, Yours Ian.T

Hey dear girl

Well I see the other side can do some damage, let her out occasionally or she will break the mirrors. Loved reading this, it shows we are all human, and that, my dear enables us to make the choices and decisions, to face our demons, no matter how they try to show us the uglier side, most of us just smile as we walk past these monstrous mirrors. Love Lyz. XX
