This is not my War

I weep for those we have lost,
Innocent lives slain and for what cost,
My heart's in pain, it hurts, it's SORE!
....I think my pride hurts more...

Because this is not "My Fight"
THIS IS NOT MY WAR!

I sent them all in blind,
I have led them all astray,
I must find a way to recover,
I will end this thing..... someday.

My father, he just kept pushing,
No one knew of the pressure I bore,
The headaches haven't stopped yet,
My heart is still so sore,

This never was "My Fight"
THIS WAS NOT MY WAR!!

I plead with you all, forgive me,
It's killing me inside,
For all the senseless chaos,
and all of those, IN VAIN!, that died.

This was never what I wanted....
Each day I regret it more and more...

....This isn't even my fight,
......This is not..."My War."

hello again

Great title, language usage, and pacing. "this poem is not written from my perspective but from someone else's. it may be the last person you would expect. i like to put myself in other people's shoes because it's easier to find the good in a person that way because then you find that even the last person you would expect possess a heart." You are so right about this. Many find this hard to do, but it is something that I often do, myself. This poem really touched me, especially these lines: I plead with you all, forgive me, It’s killing me inside, For all the senseless chaos, and all of those, IN VAIN!, that died. Keep up the great work. Always, Cat

Hey Mr.Marich ? see look at your stars. Do you remember what I said to you. Aren't the stars magical ? they give you a good feeling . I knew you had the magic when I read your poetry. But keep a firm grounded prospective in this aphrodisiac it's only good for one poem. Sorry no refills LOV2U PRESS

my actual full name is the answer ; )

Darrell Maurice Hubbard, that's my full name. if you look closely you can see i derived my nickname " marich" mostly from my middle name and just tacked on the last name's initial but if you look even closer at my name you see the reason for the number 7. count the letters of each name ; )
