An Old Pair of Shoes
There is one
with whom I share my life
my joys
my sorrows
and kinky sex
with whom I share
all the tomorrows
yesterday’s memories
my bed
and bubble gum.
He speaks my mind
before words form on my lips
I look into his eyes and see myself
a comfortable match
like an old pair of shoes.
Fate meant to bind us
our tryst fulfilled
rendevous complete.
Death has lost it power to part
for we are one.
