"GHOST IN THE WOOD'S"
The mirrored water glistened on this cool brisk day.The tree's majestic in their brilliant autumn color's of orange, red, and yellow as if on fire.On a small grass covered hillside a small run down and half rotted old cabin sit's,A small child stand's on the porch his hair shines in the sunlight, the young boy's cloth's old and tattered. The child now hear's voices coming from the tree line of this ancient forest that stand's tall behind the cabin. The voice's draw closer as the boy see's a young teenage couple emerge arguing. We are lost the young girl says to her boyfriend, when the boyfriend observed the child glaring at them through his bright blue eye's.The young man ask's the child if his parents are around?the child respond's by gently shaking his small head no.
The young girl now ask's if this child could point them the right way? She then expain's how they have been lost wondering the deep wood's for hour's.
His little arm point's to an overgrown path that lead's up the tall grass filled hill, never saying a word. The young couple now following the child's instruction hear a motor, the motor of an atv.The sound getting closer every second, smile's gather on their dirty face's.They feel a kind of happiness they have never felt, the kind of happiness you feel when you've been found. They see a ranger now he's talking on his radio, alerting other official's that he has found the missing teen's!He stops his atv and ask's how in the world they cane upon this old trail? The young couple explain how they came upon that old cabin by the small mountain lake lake, and of the child alone who had helped them. The ranger explained how their story was impossible and of how the cabin had caught fire twenty year's earlier. The young couple insisted that the ranger go look and how people still must live there. The ranger agreed that if people are there he should know, so they left back to the cabin. It was now almost dusk, the sun beginning ti set behind the dead hillside, this isn't right the young man said this hillside was coverd in grass just a few hour's ago, and what happened to the cabin it was right there right where a pile of old burnt board's now lay. This cant be so! She said almost in a panic. The ranger said how the fire was the biggest tragedy in those part's since he's been alive. He tried to reassure them of how crazy thing's can get and how mind's can play trick's on you when your lost in the wood's.
