The trail of tears revisited

the trail of tears

As you drove out the Cherokee, the Chicaasaw, theChoctaw,
the Muscogee- Creek, and seminole.
So I will drive you out.
I am the lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt;
I will make you live in tents again,
as in the days of your appointed feasts
I spoke to the Prophets,
gave them many visions
and told parables through them.
You have awakened a smoldering anger
and I am against you ; will you steal from the poor
and do it in my name.
Will you take the bread of the needy,
and trample my laws in the dust.
You have awakened a smoldering anger,
and your time of judgement is drawing near you.

God says I am against you who steal in my name:
Private airplanes, and boats,
a motercycle sent by an anonymous doner.
Vacations in Hawaii, and cruises in alaska.
Designer handbags ,a ring of emeralds and diamonds
God knows where the money is......preached Mrs copeland
and the prosperity evangelists.

Brilliant

Where is the belief in the heart, the joy of giving, any kindness even, costs. Here we donate to charities of sorts but only a small amount gets to where it is supposed to go and it lines the pockets of all churches. Look at the Vatican, full of gold and yet there is women, children etc on the steps getting shooed for begging. Great write and what you write of is disgusting. Well done. Love Lyz. XX

Ask, Seek, Knock 7”Ask

Ask, Seek, Knock 7"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. 9"Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! 12So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. This should answer your question Jayne. ..........o

Oh I am out of my depth

Oh I am out of my depth here, but speaking of the American natives, just like the Mexicans and Guatemalans, all discriminated against, and stolen from for no good reason. Such is the devilment of man, the greed of man, his stupidity knows no bounds, not even religions can guide him as they, perhaps having grains of truth in them when initiated, are distorted into ugly statues of themselves that stand there to rot within our society, polluting all that is of worth and beautiful. Should I blush before you, or cry out hooray? Respectfully Ann

I will cry on cue, oh this I

I will cry on cue, oh this I shall do! and please, of course, count me in on behalf of the nearly dead, zombies and hungry rabbits, cane toads for just rewards (or Mom's bittersweet rhubarb-apple pie) Ruminations! Oh, that these doe-eyed sentiments, (caught in God's good graces, heirs to the throne and MY cross-hairs) parliament (God save the queen!) and misconstrued tho always imbued with a certain sound--alacrity of purpose, exploration (was that exploitation?) of and by an alienation of the alien-ated by every alien-nation and you will send in $20.00 for a tiny square of the rag (I'll even accept money from a fag.) Oh, how I have suffered these tears just for you! Grandmothers you don't need to eat and you don't need your pills I am the word of God and only I can cure your ills. Signed, the woefully misbegotten (in the name of God) p.s. Major credit cards, checks and money orders are accepted, so is hard cold cash (preferably no coins). Don't forget the inheritance that might have gone to your unworthy children! p.p.s. And if you figured out what I said MORE POWER TO YOU. ~A

Your sense of timing is wonderful

That is within the contest of the poem and within the context of this being edited. Puts full focus on the real issues...beautifully presented and I am glad you reposted as I missed this the first time round. I have a little experience of the cleaning of the land when I lived on the Arizona , mexican border sharing the lives with many locals who became good friends but the greed of organised religion is worldwide. A thought provoking write Seabhac
