Shades of grey

worlds are on fire
they turn to ashes

it is completed
no me perdas ill die

there are
so many shades of grey
the Dragon King is
dead

his beautiful shimmering scales
fell
one by one
to the ground
the dragon scale diamonds
stained with betrayal and false games
in the gutter waste
they lost their lustre

there are so many shades of grey

death in his black coat
came as so often
completely unexpected
and unnoticed
gently pattered the dragons heart
and offered
a trip flick
and the king fell to the ground
a broken red balloon
a cracked soap bubble in the child's eye

a hidden drug
besieged his heart
as when the hornet secretly
behind an unknown cloak
add their lethal larvae
in the centipedes living body
to eat from the inside

in the funeral march
the Dove Queen walks
with a grey mourning veil and swollen eyes
Sister Lightning
with her bleeding heart in her hands

in the outskirts
of the city
the creeping girl with
the wolf face

smiles
predator like

Dear Molly,

This theme has constance of characters. I was pleased to see your moniker even if the code of the poetry was hard on the eyes. I have been very ill. My fever broke a few days ago and my breathing began to normalize yesterday. In due course I will see what you have been up to while I have been away. Brian

Dear Odd Molly:

The whole truth and nothing but the truth, your poem succintly develops the theme of the constant battle between good and evil. For you, I see, there are no grays, for everything is shade and colors. For me too. We must always be careful how we judge a person, except we've have delved into the profundities of Truth itself. That, nobody can do, except the Lord God. For us remains the relative truth, the shades of gray you talk about so very well in your excellent poem. Thank you. Gentle regards, Hugo

Hey hey hey!

Aaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwww now I just love these dragon stories you write Molly. Brings out the swashbuckler in me! I am telling you Molly, I ran out in to the village and proclaimed to the residents that the dragon king was dead and his diamond scales had been shed... they all stopped what they were doing and gasped! No they cried, surely the grand eloquent dragon of shimmering argent gem skin could not be defeated? Has the creator of all The Goddess Molly stopped her dragon pennings and cast the dragon away? No no no please do not let it be so! This story poem is excellent and I just adore the way you always progress these stories each time you return to this fantasy world and regales us with more splendid tales of your imagined world. Molly I really think you should collate these short story and make a book on them... they be an instant hit I am sure. Your ever explosive descriptives at the start are the catalyst to a cascading plethora of enchanting words that glean and glisten on the page as if writen on the dragon king's coffin drapped in the silver scales. The predatory wolf, howls to the moon that shines sapphire moonbeams down like spotlights as the funeral procession slowly makes it's way through the heart of the city. Only for decay and worms to eat away his wooden resting place and devour his earthly chassis ... but never his spirit. We citizens shall morn the passing of the great dragon king! All Hail Molly as the great successor! Brilliant my dear friend! Dale :)
