ME AND ROCKY THE SQUIRREL

ME AND ROCKY THE SQUIRREL

The youth
Never will define
What a friend is
Within the youthfulness
Of a open mind

We all have moved
Time to time, to a bigger house
A pear tree to climb
And a backyard
But the night before , dad got a better job

Windows , without bars
Magically, gave view
To Rocky the squirrel
A friend I once knew

Rocky was young
And so was I
Our friendship conceived
At the blink of a eye

I always would say
Look at that crazy squirrel
I guess Rocky replied
You have to be crazy to live as a squirrel
I’ve  never seen ,you climb a tree
Looking for pine cones , nuts or a pear to eat
Rocky was a smart ass , opinionated  indeed

Rocky , that crazy squirrel
His friendship was free

Summers , winters
Came and gone
Me and rocky built a languish
Of our own

Ok to the readers , this poem is true . I have a pear tree in my backyard.
And there is a crazy squirrel named Rocky. I must say this poem started out hard for me
Because of the rhyming with the word squirrel . But it started to flow, and I have so much more to write
And it was fun. So question ? [part 2 or not guys]

Dear press

No need to make me laugh, I thought this was a lovely poem. How is the McDonalds? It is refreshing to know you have something so close to home, as Rocky. We sometimes get Possums, but nothing like your dear little squirrel. Love to all. Lyz. X
