Better Sit This One Out
I've had this familiar tune
a broken record, if you will;
playing over and over in my body
and I've really had my fill !
It started ever so slightly
then started gaining confidence in itself,
and as it's tempo gains control inside me
I'd just as soon put it on a shelf !
A relentless melody is what I feel
and I can't shake this tune away,
I tried to ignore it early on
but it grew stronger throughout the day.
So the song keeps playing in my bones
like a symphony so very rare,
the day has faded, but the tune did not
so, I limp gingerly to my chair.
a broken record, if you will;
playing over and over in my body
and I've really had my fill !
It started ever so slightly
then started gaining confidence in itself,
and as it's tempo gains control inside me
I'd just as soon put it on a shelf !
A relentless melody is what I feel
and I can't shake this tune away,
I tried to ignore it early on
but it grew stronger throughout the day.
So the song keeps playing in my bones
like a symphony so very rare,
the day has faded, but the tune did not
so, I limp gingerly to my chair.
