do you remember?

Do you remember when the sky was your Mother,
thick gnarled arms planting you firmly inside her womb?
Do you remember when she wrapped you in swaddling blue
put butterflies and rivers, mountains into your
sleeping eyes?
Do you remember your Mother light as feather,
descending with the first fear you came to know:
when she turned her back and went about her business
and let you cry all alone?
Do you remember the way the sky touches your earth
even now?

Do you remember?

Nothing But Blue Skies

Beautiful poem, written very well, love the story line, every-one relates to a mother, brings a strong bond to the readers, relating their own images, to this wonderful place in time. even if in a fantasy such as this. well done. Mantiscepter

Anna...

I do not remember, but have always felt very connected to the Earth's living core and to find out how closely connected all life is makes me wish I could remember the warm embracing acceptance of the womb... Richard
