Sweet Lullaby

The time for sleep has come my child
Night has replaced the day
The wind is here to guide your dreams
She has come to lead the way
In the world of dreams anything can happen
Anything can be,
In the world of dreams, it is your story
You can see what you want to see
You can be a handsome cowboy
Straight from the wild wild west,
Spinning your six shooter fancy,
To show that you are the best
Better yet you are a gallant knight
charging into a dragon's lair,
fighting through fire and smoke,
To save your lady fair
Or maybe you will be a pirate captain
Off to plunder some gold
Adventures on the deep blue sea
With so much treasures to behold
Or perhaps you are a famous astronaut
Exploring the world of stars
You can dream you are the very first one
To land on the surface of Mars
Yes I trust the wind to whisk you away
And that she will protect you from all that harms
For I know with the first sign of sunlight
She will return you to my arms

I love you new picture! Its so cool how you always change it up. thank you for your kind words. i love tales about the wind too. this poem was inspired by a childrens story called "what the wind told" it was about a little girl who was ill and the wind told her stories while she was sick. that story always stayed in my mind beacause it was so beautiful. love, Greeneyes
