No Choir Practice
I "jammed" with unknown entities
we had never played, you see
we each knew our parts quite well
we'd just never played, collectively.
Music has that way about it
it's formula is mathematic,
the only ways it can sound bad
is not rehearsed, or with lots of static;
or if you're just not on the same page
and the music doesn't blend,
you could merge opera, polka, and country rock
but I wouldn't call you, "friend";
the bridge to all this nonsense
is the whole world is but a song,
you can tell when harmonies are right
and when the tune turns out all wrong;
or if things are out of meter
as if too many notes are in a row,
the tune will sound too busy
and will greatly disrupt the flow.
The ending of the song doesn't matter
it's the groove that makes things work,
if you sing willy-nilly, whatever you want
you'll end up sounding like some sort of jerk !
The rule of thumb is to learn your part
life's tune can't be taken for grant it,
if you can't sing, then dance or listen up
enjoy the song like you're from this planet !
It really matters not if you sing well
or your individual attire,
just recognize that each voice is strong
because we're all singing in a choir !
we had never played, you see
we each knew our parts quite well
we'd just never played, collectively.
