Winter Comes

Winter Comes

When winter comes
The trees die
Among green pines
Standing tall

When winter comes
The snowfall
Covers brown grass
Since died

When winter comes
Ice storms form
In the skies above
Turned dark

When winter comes
Cold rains
Dampens the spirit
Once sunny

Dear Barbara

U did it again, beautiful. I actually love the change in your last couple of writes. I am starting to see the bright spark u have been hiding inside, let it out, let it flow through your finger tips, to pen, to paper, and share with us some more. Barbara, I loved it.Some spirits do die in winter, but ,girl, u live. Love Lyz.x.

Hi Barbara

Nice work. I loved the way you ended each verse: Standing tall Since died Turned dark Once sunny It really worked to accent each verse and make the reader think harder. Yours, Deelilah

Appreciation of 'Winter Comes'

This poem is written in a very simple form. But the theme stands a key to a broader meaning. It shows that you are a close observant of the nature. It gives me a lesson, the impermanance of beauty of elements and forms. Your poetic vision penetrates into my mind and paves the way to improve its quality from knowledge to wisdom. Keep it up, Babara. I really love it. Albert.
